England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The event will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
