Los Angeles witnessed citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
