I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
